Session 1: Garden Fairies and Woodland Ewoks

July 11- July 15, 2016 Ages: 5-8 Cost: $225

Session 1 introduces our young campers to the natural world. Each day begins with a children’s nature story. From there, we will play games, create crafts, sing songs, and explore the woodlands that make up Apple Acres. Campers will learn about trees, rocks, animals and the habitats that they share.

Session 2: Playing in the Dirt, Bringing it to the Kitchen

July 18- July 22, 2016 Ages: 7-12 Cost: $225

Campers in Session 2 will have the experience of exploring over 15 acres of wooded trails, catching pollywogs in the pond, and learning about the plants and animals that share their home at Apple Acres. Activities this week will include team building, fort building, collecting edibles from around the farm and creating healthy snacks.

Session 3: Adventure Week

August 1- August 5, 2016 Ages: 10-14 Cost: $275

The week begins on the farm with some teambuilding, outdoor adventure packing tips, survival skills, and woods exploration. Throughout the week, we will explore the best of New England… a day on the river paddling, floating, and swimming; a day hiking through the Whites and jumping into a swimming hole; a day on the shore for beach time, marsh exploration, and stand up paddle boarding. Finish the week by choosing your own adventure!

Session 4: Lemonade Stand

August 8 – August 12, 2016 Ages: 7–12 Cost: $225

Parents…remember our first computer game where we ran a simulation of a hotdog stand? The game gave us weather reports each week, statistics of the teams playing and we had to figure out the best way to turn a profit. This summer at Apple Acres, we’re going to turn this simulation into the real deal. We’ll test recipes for the best lemonade, order supplies, create posters, facebook ads, and instagram posts, all while learning about food safety and sustainability.
